Frequently asked questions.
The names, the accents, the acquisition and confidentiality. If your question is not here, include it in your inquiry.
The names
What is included?
Two .com domain names: àvendre.com and àlouer.com. Their technical form is xn--vendre-hta.com and xn--louer-qqa.com. Both have been registered since 2014.
Can I acquire just one of the two names?
No. Both names are sold together. They reinforce each other and together cover sales and rentals.
What is the price?
Price and terms are in the full information pack, shared with qualified acquirers once the NDA is signed.
Why only strategic acquirers?
These names gain their value when they power a real estate service. The seller prefers a company that will use them over a resale.
The accents
Do browsers show the accent?
Yes, most browsers display àvendre.com with its accent. Some software shows the technical form, xn--vendre-hta.com. Both lead to the same site.
What about the version without the accent?
avendre.com and alouer.com are separate names and are not part of this offer. The accent is part of French spelling. On a French AZERTY keyboard, “à” is a single key.
Do search engines and HTTPS work?
Yes. Search engines index accented domain names, and certificate authorities issue HTTPS certificates for them. The full information pack includes a technical note on display, email and search.
The acquisition
How does payment work?
Through an independent escrow service. You deposit the funds, the names are transferred to you, then the funds are released to the seller. Neither party takes any risk.
How long does the transfer take?
Usually one to two weeks after the funds are deposited, depending on the acquirer’s registrar.
Who is selling?
The owner of both names, directly, with no intermediary.
Confidentiality
Will my inquiry stay confidential?
Yes. Your inquiry is not shared with anyone, and the full information pack is provided under NDA.
What is in the full information pack?
The market analysis, use cases by type of acquirer, the technical note on accented domain names, the terms of sale and the price.
